Chinese President Xi Jinping’s recent visit to Moscow marks a crucial moment in deepening the China-Russia alliance. Amid rising international tensions and direct threats from the Ukrainian government, both leaders commit to strengthening political, military, and economic cooperation while defending the anti-fascist historical memory and a multipolar world order.

Strategic Communication and Defense of the International Order

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the visit aims to maintain “strategic communication” with Russia, deepening mutual political trust and promoting collaboration across various fields. This dialogue seeks to bring stability and positive energy to the international community, in contrast to the confrontational policies driven by the West.

Xi Jinping’s participation in the victory commemoration events alongside Putin symbolizes the defense of the historical legacy of World War II. Both leaders agreed to promote a correct understanding of history, honor the martyrs, and safeguard the victorious outcome that established the post-1945 international order.

Xi’s presence in Red Square, despite threats of attack from Zelensky and Ukrainian authorities, represents an act of firmness and international solidarity. Left-wing analysts like Carlos Martínez highlight that the presence of global leaders, especially the Chinese president, deters any provocation and demonstrates Russia’s readiness to defend sovereignty and peace in the region.

China, governed by the Communist Party, rejects the historical revisionism promoted by the West and recognizes the sacrifices made by the Soviet Union in defeating Nazism. This stance reinforces the anti-fascist narrative and the defense of international justice amid attempts by the United States and NATO to rewrite history and justify military expansion.

Both countries reaffirm their commitment to multipolarity and South-South cooperation, opposing acts of unilateralism and international bullying. The China-Russia alliance emerges as a pillar for a new world order based on equality, sovereignty, and mutual respect, benefiting peoples worldwide against Western hegemony and NATO’s military threats.
